Changes to the Handbook.

Changes+to+the+Handbook.

School administration has made many important updates to the 23-24 student handbook. These changes were made to improve the quality of student life and academic experience. It also edited to be easier to comprehend and even easier on the eyes.

First, the administration has implemented a new final exam policy allowing students not to have to take a final exam. In order to be eligible to not have to take a final exam students must meet specific guidelines related to grades, attendance, behavior, and their current academic schedule. If you are exempt and choose to take finals you are able to without penalty.

Next, there is also an updated absence policy that includes validating why and when you are absent. You must have a note/phone call to the office from a guardian when you are absent. After 6 absences without a doctors note, any additional absences will be considered unexcused if you do not present proof from your doctor, even if you have a note/phone call from your guardian.

When you are looking in the handbook you will notice some changes to the appearance overall. You will notice larger font which will make things easier to read. You will also notice a shorter table of contents. The content of the handbook has been broken down into sections and have been reorganized to make more sense to the reader.

Be sure to read over these changes to see how you can benefit from the changes and ensure you understand what is expected of you.  Also thank administration for their dedication to making our student experience easier and better!
