Saturday night was the Homecoming game against the Chrisman Cardinals. In the JV game, Gary Higginbotham, a freshman from Hutsonville, scored the first point with a free throw shot. Throughout the game, it was a back and forth game between the two teams. The Chrisman Cardinals had a rough time keeping up with the Tigers, and they continued to keep the lead. The final score was 58-26.

Jerry Gower, HHS Senior, started off the game by tipping it to junior, Evan Newlin, scoring a 3 point shot. It was most definitely an exciting game; in the third quarter three 3 point shots were made back-to-back-to-back by Gary Higginbotham and Adam Pickering. Gary scored the first two and Adam scored the third shot. Also in the third quarter, two technicals were called on the Chrisman Cardinal Coach. He was then ejected from the game. A Cardinal fan was also ejected. In the fourth quarter, the entire Chrisman fan crowd was thrown out of the game and the team forfeited with 2:54 left. The Tigers’ offense and defense had improved tremendously and they were able to celebrate a Homecoming game win. The final score was 60-40.
