#3 Lions

The Detroit Lions had a pretty successful regular season this year. Their regular season record was 12-5, which made them tie with the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers for the second best record. The Lions started out their season with a win against the Kansas City Chiefs back on September 7th. Their five losses came from the Seattle Seahawks (31-37), Baltimore Ravens (6-38), Green Bay Packers (22-29), Chicago Bears (13-28), and Dallas Cowboys (19-20).

Since the Lions done so good in the regular season, they managed to make it to the playoffs. In the Wild Card game, the Lions faced off against the Los Angeles Rams at Ford Field. This game was super close the entire time, but the Lions won with the score being 24-23. The Lions will play their next playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday January 21st at 3 pm. If the Lions are able to defeat the Buccaneers, they will play either the Packers or the 49ers in the conference championship.

#2 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have an amazing record of 12-5. They have yet to play in the playoffs this season because they are first seed in the NFC west division. They play Saturday at 7:15 pm against the Green Bay Packers. San Francisco will have the home field advantage as they play at the Levi’s stadium in San Francisco.

#1 Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens are currently leading with their record this year. The Ravens have 13 wins, and 4 losses. The Ravens had lost against the Colts, Browns, and Steelers twice. The Ravens next game is Saturday, the 20th against the Texans. The Ravens beat the Texans 25-9 September 10th.

If you don’t watch much football, like myself, you may know the Ravens for Lamar Jackson. Jackson is the Ravens QB and has been on the team since 2018. Jackson states he is, “Ready for whatever.” Jackson is in the top QB’s this NFL season.

Another player everyone is familiar with is Odell Beckham Jr. He is the Ravens wide receiver. OBJ signed with the Ravens in 2023, after recovering from a torn ACL.

The Ravens were last in the Super Bowl in 2013. They played the 49ers, who are actually in the playoffs this season. In 2013, the 49ers got their first Super Bowl loss in franchise history. Who knows, maybe they will both be in the Super Bowl for 2024!

Best of luck to the Baltimore Ravens, and all the other teams still in!
