OPH Football game @ Red Hill

This past Saturday the OPH Wildcats had a football game against the Red Hill Salukis.

The OPH Wildcats sadly did not come out on top and had a tough loss against the Salukis, losing 0-40. They fought hard during the game as they all so badly want to work towards winning a game.

The Wildcats held their own all throughout the 2nd quarter and stayed strong. According to player Avery Monti, the other team started to catch on to how their defense and how it worked. The other team adjusted accordingly and was able to take over. They did the exact same for the offense as well. Avery states “The inside linebackers were very good and read our plays very well. Overall they were a very good team.”

Avery said that they held their own until mid-way through the second quarter then it all went south for the Wildcats. When the 3rd quarter started, the OPH Wildcats were down 0-24. With being down by 24 after halftime, the Wildcats still tried their best to hold their own, and to never give up.

A huge part with losing mid game is to always make sure you have a good positive attitude, along with the mindset of never giving up on trying. Having that attitude and mindset will help keep you from giving up, and not giving your all. Avery Monti stated “…but yet we still did not give up which is what made me happy. There is nothing more I could ask out of my team, other than we don’t quit.”

Even though the OPH Wildcats didn’t come out on top, they still played a great game and put in their all. Their next game is this Friday the 22nd at  Madison;  kickoff will be at 7 pm. Go show some Wildcat spirit and show up for our boys!
