Cross Country at Lawrenceville

Nathan More, contributor

The cross country team showed up to Lawrenceville ready to run!  The team was missing a couple kids due to injury and other sports but that didn’t slow them down any.  Marissa ran the girls race and ran a season record. Marissa ran a good race by starting slow but steadily gained speed to come in 24th out of 30 with a time of 26:50.

The boys all ran some of their best times with most of them running season records placing 3rd out of 7 teams!  Nathan More, the teams top runner, had a season record by over 30 seconds and ran a good time of 17:26 placing 4th and receiving a medal.  The teams 2nd runner, Adam Pickering, ran a nice race with a time of 19:29 placing 17th. Evan Holscher a senior on the team had a nice personal record running a 19:38 pacing with Adam most of the race placing 22nd.  Chase Knoblett had a good run with a time of 20:13 narrowly missing the sub 20 goal placing 25th. We then cheered Jacob Pickering, a newcomer, to the finish with a time of 24:13 placing 43rd.

The next race for the cross country team will be on September 27 at Robinson.
