Lady Tigers Travel To Oblong

On Monday, April 15 2024 the Lady Tigers traveled to Oblong for their first really hot game of the season. This game is always highly anticipated every season. Both teams always want to win, considering Oblong has always been a rival. We are one of the few teams who isn’t tri-op with Oblong making both teams extremely competitive.

Alaina Holcomb started in left field , Brynn Griffin in center field, Ahlya Abel in right field, Addi Mcnair started at third base, Lily Holcomb started at short stop, Zoey Beabout at second base, Izzy Monan at first base, Hayden Monan starting pitching, and Ayla Cook catching were the nine starters yesterday. Up to bat in the first inning, Lady Tigers scored 5 points. Over the next couple innings the panthers tied it up 5-5. The game was tied 5-5 for a few innings, until the Lady Tigers came back and won 15-7. This was a hard fought game where neither teams gave up.

The Lady Tigers have had a rough first part of their season and this game was what they needed to hopefully step up their game and continue to win games. It would also help if this weather keeps up. It is a lot easier to play in warm weather than in cold and rainy weather.

The Lady Tigers practice tonight and have a game again tomorrow, Wednesday April 17 at Hutsonville. They play Grayville. They hope to see you there to cheer on another win by the Lady Tigers.

Don’t forget, you can watch on Game Changer!
