Palestine High School Donkey basketball

Palestine High School Donkey basketball

On March 11 you will have a chance to see some entertainment at Palestine High School In towns all over, people love donkey basketball. It’s a special game that mixes sports with laughs. Families and friends come together to watch and play, raising money for schools and groups that need support.

What makes donkey basketball so great is how it brings everyone closer. Whether it’s for school fundraisers or local events, people show up to have a good time and help out. Plus, seeing donkeys playing basketball adds a funny twist that everyone enjoys.

others find it very difficult to watch. If you watch, a lot of the donkeys do not like to move so the riders get off and pull at the donkeys by their harnesses. One would think that this hurts them. Riders frequently kick the donkeys to try and get them to move. An average size donkey is not able to bear much more weight than 100 pounds, yet in most games, participants are teenagers or full-grown adults. It is very stressful for the donkeys as they are constantly shouted at. When these donkeys are forced into this stressful situation where it is loud and confusing for them, they could become frightened and hurt their riders to protect themselves.

Ultimately, donkey basketball is about sharing laughs and making memories with our community. So let’s cheer on the players, enjoy the game, and appreciate the joy it brings to everyone involved!
