Lady Wildcats take on the Lady Salukis!

Lady Wildcats take on the Lady Salukis!

Last Thursday, January 18th, our Lady Wildcats traveled to Red hill for their basketball game that evening. This was a very well played game by both schools. From steals to blocks to draining three’s, this game kept you on your toes!

The score bounced back and forth the first quarter of the game, with the Wildcats jumping out of the gate and scoring first. We scored 16 points and the Salukis scored 13 at the end of the first quarter.

In the 2nd quarter we led in points. The score at halftime was 28-23 with your Lady Wildcats in the lead.

We had a slow start in the third quarter we fell behind. The Lady Salukis scored 16 points in the third as we only scored 12 points.

In the fourth and final quarter of the game we fell short again with a final score of 54-51. Red Hill scored 15 points in the final quarter while we only scored 11 points.

Genna Kidwell, a sophmore from Oblong High School, led our team in points in this game with 18 points. Right behind her in points this game was Maggie Bailey, a junior from Oblong High School, with 12 points. Our Lady Wildcats took this loss to heart, yet still had high spirits as they played a well rounded game. This overall was probably the best game we have played as a team. This was the second time we had played the Red Hill Salukis in regular season games with close scores in both games. We also played them once in our conference tournament.
