The Blood Drive

The Blood Drive

The blood drive will happen on Wednesday, January 26. There are so many benefits to donating blood. These include, saving people’s lives; helping people battle different kinds of blood diseases; and undergoing cancer treatment. Unfortunately, the United States is facing its worst blood shortage in more than a decade.  There is a serious need for blood currently, and that is why we usually host blood drives here at the high school once every two months. I personally have never donated blood, but many people in my family have. They are saving lives every time they do it.  The blood drive will be on January 26th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Palestine High School gymnasium. I asked Mr. Will about how he feels about the blood drive, and he said, “I completely understand the need and importance of giving blood. I have had family members that needed it, and so I feel like I should help out others as well.”
