The annual Palestine Homecoming Parade made its return on Wednesday evening after taking a vacation to Corona-town in 2020.

Included in the many entries in the parade were the class floats, homecoming attendants, king and queen candidates, the Palestine Band, a special appearance by Mr. Will on his scooter, and several others. The parade lined up on the east side of the high school and followed the very familiar route, going down Main Street and taking LaMotte all the way to the football field.

Although the crowd was sparse this year, many familiar faces were seen cheering on our students up and down the route. It worked out well for those who were in attendance, as they received extra candy.

The juniors’ float won first place, followed by the sophomores in second and freshmen in third. Unfortunately, the seniors’ float came in dead last. If the judges would have asked me, however, I would have said that it looks like it came straight from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
