Daylight Savings Time

Daylight Savings Time

Brody Miller, Author

A Englishman by the name of George Hudson proposed the idea of daylight savings time in 1895. Germany and Austria started using it first in April 30 1916. and since then many countries have used it.  Most of America started using it during the 1970’s energy crisis, but some states, like parts of Arizona and Hawaii, do not use it still.

In 2019 at 2:00 am on November 3rd we set our clocks back an hour.

I think this is a good thing because we get to set our clocks back an hour and because of that we get an extra hour of sleep. Plus Daylight Savings Time saves us a lot of money on electricity.
