“Resident Evil 6” is a high octane action game developed by Capcom in 2012, releasing for PS3 and Xbox360; The following year (2013) had a rerelease for PS4 and Xbox 1. “Resident Evil 6”, follows four different intertwining campaigns that span over 20 missions, 5 missions per campaign. The game has two player co-op in which you can play these campaigns; This is how I’ve been playing the game.
I’ve played through three cooperative campaigns with my friend Christopher, the last campaign being an escapade that we have yet to conquer. The multi-player aspect of the game works really well, having quite good connectivity and interactions despite being a 14 year old game. All three of “Resident Evil 6’s” multi-player campaigns were an absolute delight to play. “Resident Evil 6” in comparison to its predecessors has a lackluster story, but makes up for it with its goofy action movie feel. Every part of the game is perfectly campy, making everything feel over the top and serious in the least serious way possible. The gameplay, being very action heavy, is very fun and engaging, never giving a moment of boredom.
I have really enjoyed my time with “Resident Evil 6” and hope to keep enjoying it until the end. I would highly recommend playing it, if you’re in search of a fun co-op experience. While I don’t think this game is perfect I do love it and think it grew on me; I think if the story was better I would rank it higher, but I think it’s a 7/10.
