“Kizumonogatari II: Nekketsu” (Hot-Blooded), the second act segues into Araragi retrieving his new master’s limbs. Kiss-Shot’s limbs were stolen from three separate vampire hunters, Dramaturgy a huge vampire man that is in the business for the pay out, Episode a half human half vampire hybrid who hates vampires with every part of his being, and Guillotine-Cutter a human priest who is a professional at vampire hunting that only works on ideology. Dramaturgy holds one of Kiss-Shot’s legs, Episode holds the other leg, and Guillotine-Cutter holds both of her arms. Araragi has to figure out how to defeat each of these vampire hunters in order to reclaim his master’s limbs with the hope of his humanity coming with them.
After learning of each of the vampire hunters Araragi has to set off to challenge them; Starting with the huge vampire man with blades for arms, Dramaturgy. Araragi, after starting this battle he figures out that his body regenerates at a quick rate and that he’s much stronger than he once was. The battle ends with Dramaturgy surrendering and handing the leg over. Episode was the next hunter whom Araragi was to face; however, he wasn’t going to back down; he wasn’t in this for the money. This battle ended with Episode being knocked out and the leg being taken. Last but not least Guillotine-Cutter, the priest who has no central moral standing. This battle made Araragi give up his humanity entirely in a metaphorical sense; Having to let his vampiric power take over.
This movie was definitely the most action pacted in the trilogy having almost non-stop action scenes. It was a real spectacle for the eyes; having bright colors and fast paced animation. I personally think this was a step up from the other movie but that also means that it’s another 10/10.
