The movie quartet, The Hunger Games series first installment hit theaters in March of 2012, with the next installment following every year until the final movie was released in 2015. Many fans of the series were left with many unanswered questions at the end of The Hunger Games: The Mocking-jay Part 2, wanting answers, they went to social media asking Suzanne Collins, the creator and author of The Hunger Games Trilogy, for answers. After years of no answers, fans gave up, but Collins had another plan. In June of 2019, Scholastic Press announced that a new installment would be added to the beloved franchise and the following May, the book was released. Selling 500 thousand copies in the first day, the book was a hit. The fans were soon to be getting their answers.

Soon after the novel, the movie was in the works. And after the trailers release many fans were gaining excitement to see the developments of the film. Featuring actors such as, Rachel Zegler as Lucy Gray Baird, Tom Blyth as Coriolanus Snow, Viola Davis as D. Volumnia Gaul, and Peter Dinklage as Casca Highbottom.

“To me the novel and movie are so similar, it is shocking. Many movies that follow novels don’t do that anymore.” Zoey Rinesmith said after watching the film. Rinesmith said that this is a film that she will watch again and again, with it’s captivating and interesting scenes, and tantalizing story line. “A must watch for any fan, and for anyone who loves a good story filled with love, mystery, and dystopia.” This new look on an older franchise has reignited the love for this franchise and has add a little flame to the fire. Fans of the franchise were ‘kicking themselves’ after seeing this movie for ‘giggling and smiling’ at ‘Corio’ Snow.
