I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream

The Little Cookie Shop is thrilled to announce they will be offering hand dipped ice cream, in addition to the many kinds of cookies and pastries they have offered since opening in September. They served their first scoops of ice cream after their official ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday the 28th at 10 am, at their shop on Main Street where customers can experience the perfect combination of cookies, boba, and ice cream.

The Journalism class visited The Little Cookie Shop for their ribbon cutting and of course had to try all of the new flavors of ice cream, which includes strawberry cheesecake, bunny tracks, butter pecan, cookies and cream, huckleberry, and chocolate.

According to owner Jamie Toll, The Little Cookie Shop has been open since Labor Day weekend, but because of the busy-ness of the time period, she didn’t have a ribbon cutting ceremony back then.  Jamie and her husband, who works alongside her, have 5 kids, and her reasoning for opening up her own business was so that she would not have to work a corporate job which she really didn’t like.  She decided to buy a shop that would get her and her large family through while making the entire town happy as well.

Jamie grew up here and her favorite place to be with her friends was Peg N Reds, which most Palestine teenagers can relate to.  She really missed those memories of her childhood so she thought maybe she could recreate a bit of her favorite childhood place for kids now who never got that Peg N Reds experience.

If you haven’t already, go check out The Little Cookie Shop located at 107 S Main St, in Palestine, Illinois, for a delicious experience.
