Does Social Media Encourage Division in the U.S.?

Social media has changed a lot since the start. It used to be a platform where people could express themselves and the things they enjoyed doing. It has changed for the worse in that it has all become corrupt. Any social media platform has become very political, and if you say the wrong thing, it can be taken down, and/or you will have to face serious consequences.

For a relevant example, podcasts have become a popular thing in the 2020s for people to go on the web and have conversations. The Fullsend podcast had an interview with former U.S. President, Donald Trump, but it was taken down very shortly after it was posted. It was only taken down because the press thought what they said on there wasn’t what they wanted. It doesn’t matter if you want it to be said or not.

This country has something called, “Freedom of the Press,” and “Freedom of Speech.” People can say what they want to, and post what they want to. It is apparent that all we care about on social media is whether you agree with the left-side point of view or the right-side point of view. If that is what you like, then who cares what political side it refers to as long as it makes sense?
