The High Cost of Education Keeps Americans From The “American Dream.”

The growing cost of college tuition is becoming more and more of a problem. It wouldn’t be so much of a problem if going to college wasn’t so important. Formerly, you just needed to finish high school, and even if you got your GED, it wouldn’t hinder you too much.

Nowadays, if you don’t have a high school diploma, it is going to put you low on the totem pole under the people who have a higher education. The average cost of tuition in the United States per year is $10,203 for in-state students and $26,290 for out-of-state students.

Yes, financial aid is a great help, but it doesn’t get the whole job done. Based on the average cost of tuition, if you are not in a wealthy family or wealthy yourself, then it is unlikely that you will be able to go to the college you want to, or go to college at all.

As a country, we need to come together and make the decision to lower the cost of tuition. If we do not come to this decision soon, it is only going to get worse.
