High school can be scary as a freshman.  New building, new teachers, and new faces.  Not to mention all of the stairs there is to get from class to class.  Definitely a big change from the grade school that they just came from.  These freshman went from being upperclassmen 8th graders in the grade school to the lowest class in the high school, and that is intimidating for some.  We want to introduce to the rest of the student body the new freshman faces in the building.

Everyone meet Shawn Divine, one of this week’s freshman spotlights.  Here are a few things about Shawn: After asking him what his favorite part about high school was, he responded with “more freedom.” I don’t think any of us could not relate to this.  Shawn was nervous about starting high school because he thought he would be late.  Trust me, this is something a lot of people worried about when they became a freshman, including me!  Shawn’s favorite class is Human Resources because it teaches him what he needs to keep a car and house.  Shawn is involved in Drama Club and likes it because he is able to act and meet new people. Outside of school you’ll catch Shawn hanging out with his friends because that’s what he enjoys doing in his free time.

We want to give Shawn a warm welcome, and good luck with the rest of your freshman year!
