Sam Rhine Biology Field Trip

Allison Dunlap, Editor

Tuesday, November 13 was the annaul Sam Rhine field trip for the biology 3 and 4 class along with botany. They had to wake up really early to be on the bus at 6:30 a.m. Illinois time to leave for Terre Haute. The conference started at 9 Indiana time and ran all through the morning until 12:30. During that time, Sam talked about phenotypes and genotypes and how they could potentionally cure common diseases like diabetes, arthritis, and ADHD.

After the conference, the group went to the mall for lunch and to shop around for a little bit. Some people went and bought games, some bought clothes, and some just walked around looking at things. At 1:50, everyone got back on the bus to head home for the day. Senior Nathan More says that “science fact is always better than science fiction.”
