Elementary students trunk or treating

On Monday, October 30, 2023, the Student Senate held a meeting in Mr. Smith’s room during the first lunch to discuss Halloween at the Grade School. Every year high school Student Senate and grade school Student Council put together a trunk or treat at the Grade School for the elementary students. In order for Student Senate to be able to go to the Grade School and participate, they were informed they needed to dress up in a Halloween costume, and bring a large bag of candy to pass out at the Grade School.

On Tuesday, October, 31, Halloween Day, after the second lunch, around 12:45, the Student Senate headed over to the Grade School. The seniors and officers were able to drive and bring another student senate member with them to the Grade School. Anyone who hasn’t already gotten a ride rode with Mrs. Inboden in the Suburban. Once we got to the Grade School, some officers decorated their cars and people prepared their candy for the elementary students. After about ten minutes, the elementary students started filing out, eager to get in line for candy.

During the parade, the high school students got to see the elementary students costumes and the elementary students got to see the high school students costumes. I would say that Carson Musgrave would win the best costume from the reaction of elementary students. Carson was dressed as an inflatable Among Us character.

After the trunk or treat, the high school Student Senate was allowed to stay at the Grade School and help the teachers around the school. Most teachers were watching movies, doing activities, and having Halloween snacks.
