Homecoming is a fun time we all remember in high school with all the dressing to impress and dancing.  Here are the details for all of the events going on that week:

Homecoming attendants

Freshmen: Emily Rochoy & Aiden Postlewaite;  Mackenzie McDaniel & Carson Musgrave

Sophomores: Natalie Yargus & James Kline; Gavin Parish & Diamond Barnbrook

Juniors:   Ahlya Abel & Nathen Bennett; Morgan Knoblett & Aidyn Piper

Seniors: Caitie Drury, Alivia Beabout, Dannika Fulling, Alysa Kennedy, Terry Fouty, Kaden McCormack, Elliott Meadows, Cody York

Homecoming king and queen will be announced during halftime at the football game September 17.

Dress Up Days

Homecoming Week will be held from Monday September 12th to Saturday, September 17th. Palestine High School will be having dress up days and games leading up to Homecoming and all the students are all ready to have a laid back week of fun and games.

Dress up days are Monday through Friday, September 12-16. Classes will receive participation points.

  • Monday:  Little Miss./Mr./Mx.
  • Tuesday:  Double Denim
  • Wednesday:  Dress like a teacher
  • Thursday:  Dress like Adam Sandler
  • Friday:  Wear your Class shirts

Games will be held each day all week long during WIN, giving classes another opportunity to earn more points.

Homecoming cookies

Mrs. Inboden’s food classes are hard at work right now making Homecoming cookies that will be delivered during Homecoming week.

Homecoming Parade

On Wednesday, classes will show off their floats in a parade that ends at the football field, where cheerleaders will lead games & a yummy chili supper will be served.

JAG Day

On Friday all students will participate in Jag Day, a clash of classes in which classes will compete to see who comes out the top dog of classes. Upperclassmen and underclassmen will be competing against each other in a variety of literal fun and games, ending, of course, with the ever popular tug-of-war.  At the end, The winning class will be announced and will have bragging rights for another year.

Football Game

The Homecoming football game against Pinckneyville will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m., with Homecoming King and Queen coronation held during halftime, so be there or be square!

Homecoming Dance

This year our Homecoming Dance will be held at the pavilion on Main Street at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, so wear your best and get to dancing.
