As you may have noticed, there have been some minor changes as well as some larger renovations around the school this year, and in the years past. Here’s a list of what’s been happening around the school:
Completed work:
Gym/Lower Roof Repairs (2018)
Tuckpointing/Facade Improvements (Summer 2021) – cost roughly $100,000 – a grant was used to help cover the cost
Boiler Replacement (2021) – cost roughly $100,000
New office walls
Cafeteria upgrades (tables, ice machine, warmer, drainage, electrical)
Replacing lights with LED high-efficiency systems
Security door
Security cameras (15)
Outdoor pavilion
Weight room upgrades ($14,000 grant)
Gym ceiling repair
New stage curtains
New sound system
Mrs. Inboden classroom upgrades
Future work:
Looking to conduct more tuckpointing/facade improvements next summer with a grant
Bleachers need to be replaced
Bathrooms need to be updated
Continued roof replacement/repairs
Classroom door replacements
Greenhouse addition
Resurface the parking lot
These new additions weren’t easy to install and certainly not cheap. PHS has made lots of efforts to update and make life better for the students here. Please respect the school and don’t ruin the good things we have going here.
