A big question that has been around for a while is whether public transportation in the city should be free for everyone. There are some pros to having free transportation that include reducing the number of cars on the road, which would then reduce the number of car accidents. This can be a really good service that the government can provide for everybody, and there would probably be a lot less congestion in the cities themselves. While there are some pros to free public transportation, there are also some cons that come with it, which include: all the transportation services will be crowded with people; it will become a burden on the government to maintain quality and finally sustain the public transportation system; and initially managing the crowds on public transport will be a major challenge in populated countries like India or China. There are many things to consider if we could successfully have free public transportation for everyone, but I think it has potential to become a thing in the near future. I would love to use free transportation especially with gas prices nowadays!
