The annual PHS/PGS Christmas Band Concert took place on Tuesday, December 16 at PGS and featured the PGS choir, the PGS 5th grade beginner band, and the Palestine combined concert band.

The PGS choir was directed by Linda Carpenter. The choir sang “Carol of the Bells,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”  The choir did very well for how young they were, and it was very enjoyable to listen to.

The band was directed by Joshua baker. The fifth grade band played “Jolly Old St. Nicholas,” “Up On the House Top,” and “Jingle Bells.” The fifth grade band also did very well for their age.

The combined band played “Let It Go,” “House of the Rising Bells,” and “A Christmas Festival.”  “A Christmas Festival” was a mixture of four different songs, and we were asked to guess all the them. I knew all of the songs; andandI just didn’t know the names of them. The combined band did very well, and as a past band member,  I enjoyed listening to them.

Overall the concert went very well and I was proud of everyone there, and I’m sure everyone else was too.
