The Palestine CUSD #3 Board of Education met November 15, 2021. The board approved bills, payroll, and treasurer report.  They approved the District Risk Management Plan. They approved of Caitlin Ochs as the Pal-Hut High School Scholastic Bowl Assistant Coach. Superintendent Sisil also spent a great deal of time in open session discussing progress on various building updates. The district also highlighted Character Education programming with monthly winners who attended the meeting. The board noted that November 24, 2021 is an early dismissal because of midterm and that there is no school November 25-26 because of Thanksgiving break. The tax levy was also presented to the board for its review prior to the next board meeting. The estimate for the tax levy showed a reduction in the tax levy.

For Palestine High School students, especially, the biggest and most important decision made was that graduation dates have been set.  Palestine seniors will be graduating Saturday May 14, at 10 a.m. in a ceremony held separately from the 8th grade graduation at the outdoor Main Street Pavilion.
