The Rodeo Is Back In Swing!

With the pandemic going on for over a year and a half, things are still slowly getting back to normal. Because everything was shut down last year, we couldn’t have our yearly Labor Day Rodeo in town. That was very sad but after a year of everything slowing down the Rodeo is back! This year the rodeo came back in full swing and everyone in town was buzzing about it.

During the rodeo there were three bareback riders; the first one scored a 77, the second scored a 82 and the third scored a 83.

The next event was cattle roping, in which one rider had to get around the horns and the other had to rope its feet. There were a few disqualifications because of the way they roped the cows.

Next, there were five riders in the saddle event; two were disqualified and the others scored 85, 79, and 81.

The next event was the cattle take down and the tying. Not very many people were able to get their cattle to the ground, but a few turned out and were able to. Most of the people roping the cows managed to tie their cattle.

After these events there was an intermission before the bull riding event. There were quite a few bull riders during the rodeo, but none of the bull riders were able to make it past the 7 second mark, falling short by a few seconds.

Overall the rodeo was a blast and all the events were fun and entertaining.
