On the spookiest day of the year, storefronts and local organizations joined forces to host Trunk or Treat, a trick or treating method out of vehicles and store fronts, on Thursday, October 31st.  The event lasted from 5:30-7:30, rain or shine. Support of the event came in the form of many businesses, clubs, and departments; some of the most notable were the Fire and Police Departments, the Rocking Horse, Peg and Red’s, and the Palestine High School Student Senate. An estimated 200+ children came to the event, and at least 2 pounds (actually much, much more!) of candy were handed out. It was a great turnout, and Mr. Coach Teacher Bus Driver Will said, “It was awesome. We had a great turn out even though it was cold. Everyone, including the school, pulled strong and manned the cold. Everyone did great and it was a great time.”

The community of Palestine looks forward to continuing this tradition, hopefully with better weather next year.
