OPH Takes Another Stunning loss on Senior Night.

Levi Beard

So last Friday was another upsetting loss for the OPH football team, but it was also Senior Night.  With only six seniors remaining on the team and extremely bad weather, the turn out wasn’t very big. But somehow there is a bright side. The OPH team managed to score their first points in six games with Levi Beard running a touchdown in at the last minute.  Because of numerous injuries the team has shrunk dramatically and they have lost a lot of starters. With these circumstances, Gavin Postlewaite only had 17 yards with 11 carries, which, for those who don’t know, is heartbreaking for a running back.  The other Palestine player, Levi Beard, had to step up to the starting QB position for the first time since his freshman year.  Beard threw for 117 yards going 5-10 in passes. The OPH team held the Westfield Tigers out the whole second half, but that didn’t make up for their poor performance in the first half, making the score 41-6 with the Tigers taking home the victory. OPH will travel to Georgetown Ridge-Farm to play their second to last game this Friday.
