This parade has been going on for 53 years and it is super interesting to go to. Many people in Crawford County have very fond memories either being in the parade or going to it. You can ask people and they will tell you all you need to know about this parade just off how many times they go. This event is a cherished memory among the many that attend and hopefully the tradition will continue to go on for many more years.

But there’s more to do in Oblong than go to the parade.  During the day, the Oblong Fall Follies will take place all day, starting at 8 am.  Event times you need to know:

• Spooktacular 5k run October 26, 2019 at Oblong City Park
• Spooktacular Band Fest – Oblong High School Football Field at 10 am
• Spooktacular Food Eating Contest – Registration starts at 1 and the contest starts at 2:00 pm. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
• Booths, food trucks, and much more all day long
