OPH hosts Blue Ridge in Palestine

OPH huddles up during the game against Blue Ridge.

Gavin Besing and Levi Beard

The OPH football team hosted the Blue Ridge Knights last Friday at the Palestine field. On Friday night the OPH football team opened up the second game of the year and it went a little better than last week. The game started out very well against the Knights with back to back stops for both teams. The Knights put up the first score with a 40 yard touchdown pass. On the very next drive for OPH, Levi Beard received the ball as a tailback and threw a 30 yard pass to Aydin Musgrave who took it to the end zone for a tied score 6-6 at the end of the first quarter.  The rest of the game went downhill quickly as key players to OPH’s team suffered injuries leaving five starters out of the game. The end score ended up being 28-6 as the Knights took home the victory, leaving this OPH team in awe as they beat the Knights last year 21-0.

Your OPH football team will be back in action this Friday facing off against the Oakland Comets for the Palestine Homecoming game at the Palestine field.
