Over winter break the gym has undergone some new renovations. In the gym there used to be old blue and white pads on the walls behind the goals, and now there are brand new pads with the Palestine logo on them. This came as a pretty big surprise to most of the students, and I asked Mr. Blank why we got them. He said that the decision to get them was Mr. Long’s. He said, “ I really like the new gym pads since it makes the gym look more finished than it did before.”

I was wondering why we even needed them since they are mostly used for basketball. Mr. Blank said, “Many of the boys’ and girls’ practices are in the high school gym, so having these new pads will help. The old ones were all used up and didn’t give much protection.”
