Avry Monti Will be traveling to central Illinois this weekend to fish 2 tournaments on Saturday he is fishing lake Sandcris and on Sunday he is fishing lake Clinton. Avry has fished both these lakes quite a few times and has done good on both these lakes. Lake Sandcris is on a camping sight so it is heavily fished so Avry is assuming it won’t be the easiest tournament in the world, but he also thinks it could be a fun tournament to fish if the fish are spawning.
In his last tournament at a Powerplant lake the fish were spawning and it was in all honesty a hell of a tournament. Avry is taking two boats up to these tournaments because Sandcris is a 25mph horse power lake but Clinton is so he feels if he takes both boats it will benefit him better in these tournaments. Clinton is one of the top bass fishing lakes in all of Illinois it has some really big fish in there. The last time avry fished he got 7th place out of 100 boats so to say the least Avry really likes this lake. Every year for the past four years he has always been excited to fish this lake there are always big fish caught in this lake.
To win this tournament you will need 20lbs for 5 fish which is a 4lb average which is not easy to do in the slightest but its doable for sure especially at this lake. Now for the bad parts. This lake is also known for having some of the worst weather out there. Multiple tornadoes 60mph wing gusts 5 foot rolling haves and more. One year Avry and his old partner went to this lake and it rained so much that they drained over 35 gallons of water out of the boat. Avry has fallen out of the boat a lot at this lake because of the weather. Then you add boats that travel up to 80 mph it can get very dangerous out on this lake. Over 50 people have died on this lake from the weather from getting struck by lightning, tornadoes, getting flung out of the boat from wind, hitting trees and more but the good this is that the lake is really good for fishing. Even with all the bad Avry is still very excited to fish this lake it is always a fun time on this lake so lets hope for a win by our own Avry Monti
