The NCAA tournament or March Madness is the biggest tournament in basketball. It doesn’t just correlate with the players in college right now but also the players in the NBA that played in it. These are some NBA players that provided a true March moment.
Of course probably the best March moment from an NBA player has to be Steph Curry leading Davidson to the Elite 8 averaging 32. Davidson was a number 10 seed that went on to beat number 7 Gonzaga, No.2 Georgetown, and number 3 Wisconsin. Curry led his team scoring almost 30 every night. Their fairytale ended with being beaten by number 1 seed Kansas by only two points. This “Cinderella” run was crazy and nobody had ever seen a kid like Curry on a 10th seed team, so it was even better for his chances in the NBA. Another player is Anthony Davis with the Kentucky Wildcats, even though the Wildcats were among the favorites to win his performance was still outstanding. One of the more memorable games was when he took on Kansas in the championship game. He didn’t score for the first 9 and ½ minutes shooting only 1-10 in the game. But he had 16 rebounds and 6 blocks. That is unheard of even for a good college basketball player.
March madness is so interesting every year. It gets more attention than most other college sports and even some professional sports. To get more information on how teams are doing look at NCAA.com.
