Power Rankings for week 14 are out. With four teams rising and one going into the top 10. We are done with a little over half of the season now with only 17 days until the trade deadline. This part of the season seems to be the toughest stretch for most teams but some look at it as a challenge and overcome. Like the Clippers, they don’t have a winning record but they seem to be full steam ahead, and could be .500 before the All Star break.
Starting off with the teams of the week, on top are the Clippers with a record of 0-3 on the week while the Nicks, considered to be a top team went 0-3. In the battle over the east and the west the west is up 115-91 but the East seems to be fighting back going 19-8 last week. Some of the toughest schedules are as usual with Sacramento, Utah and Portland having it rough. The teams with the easiest sequels are Denver, Detroit and Chicago. There was quite a bit of movement within the rankings with the biggest jumps being Cleveland and Miami going up 3 spots. The biggest fall of the week is Atlanta going down four spots after trading Trae Young. The team to watch has to be Houston, they have been treading water but have to match up against the Spurs, Philadelphia, and Detroit.
The power rankings have changed quite a bit all season, especially the top 10. If you want to see more over the rankings they are always on NBA.com. We can’t wait to see what happens to the ranking for weeks to come.
