The east might be better than we thought.After going 16-24 against the west over three weeks of the season, the east has been climbing the rankings ever since going 19-13 in inter-conference games over the last two weeks. With that 10 of the leagues 17 that have winning records are in the east. 

As noted these top 10 east teams have been feeding off of the bottom four. But they are still doing better than the west. The West holds the most disappointing teams of the first five weeks. Noting that the worst team has played 19 inter-conference games while the top three have played 11 total.

With all this said the top 10 teams in the league are: #10 New York Knicks, #9 Toronto Raptors, #8 San Antonio Spurs, #7 Phoenix Suns, #6 Los Angeles Lakers, #5 Cleveland Cavaliers, #4 Detroit Pistons, #3 Houston Rockets, #2 Denver Nuggets, and #1 Oklahoma City Thunder. The top teams have mostly stayed the same in rankings but as you go down the list there is a lot more movement. Especially with eastern teams rising. The west is starting to get more challenges to push through the regular season and onto the post season.
