Acquiring good habits is a very important thing to have in life. Over time, if you have any bad habits you will regret them as time goes by. It is a very good thing to get used to working on them and making a bad habit turn good. Having good habits will do you better in the future compared to what bad habits would have in store for you.
To build good habits, don’t be too harsh on yourself. Start small, not too much, not too little. You also want to make sure that you are being consistent with what you are trying to do, keep up with it. Make the desired behavior as obvious, easy, and satisfying as you can make it whilst being successful. You want to find your motivation to do so as well, like combine the new habit with something you genuinely will enjoy. Also, focus on the benefits! Try to shift your mindset as best you can to see the habit as an opportunity or a positive choice, rather than an obligation.
Make sure not to be too hard on yourself! Don’t make it so difficult where it just drains you. It is okay to miss a day, but just be sure you pick it right back up the next, don’t let it affect your journey. Another thing you could also do if you wanted is track your progress. It is always satisfying to see how far you have come over the hour.
Lastly, be sure to reward yourself for the work you have put in. Rewards after success never hurt anyone! Everyone deserves some type of treat or reward after successfully overcoming something that they had a bad habit of doing.
