The OPH track team traveled to Cumberland on Tuesday April 9th for a multi team meet. The boys placed 6th out of 8 teams, while the girls placed 7th out of 8 teams.
In the boys events, Willis Strohm placed 5th in the 400, Grant Wampler placed 4th in the Shot Put, Will Callaway placed 3rd in the High Jump and Ray Woodward placed first in the long jump. The 4×100 relay also placed 4th, while the 4×200 came in 2nd.
On the girls side of things,Ilayna Sheets came in 4th in the 100 and 5th in the 200. Francesca Comandini came in 4th in the 200, Kielyn Wilson came in 4th in the 100 hurdles, the 4×200 relay was 4th, and Daylen Beckes was 5th in the discus.
This was a rough meet with very tough competition. The Wildcats will be back in action on Wednesday April 10th for the Matt Scherer Invitational in Red Hill at 4:00. Come out and support the team!
