Easter Break

Easter+Break

Easter Break is approaching fast. March 29 through April 1st, 2024 is our much appreciated Easter Break.

I remember Easter when I was a small kid. Easter was a fun time had by all. My mom would always make it seem like the Easter bunny was so real. I remember once we went to a hotel and she somehow managed to bring Easter baskets to the hotel!

Easter is a day to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the founder of the religion of Christianity. Easter is always celebrated on a Sunday in the Spring between March 22 and April 25. In a lot of churches Easter follows a season of prayer and fasting called Lent. It is the 40 days Jesus went without food in the desert. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday this is the action of putting ashes on your forehead.

I also remember when I was young my mom would fill Easter eggs and hide them for my sister and I to hunt. We would go out and each have so many to find. There would be one special egg to find that would be a specific color or have our name on it, and it would have money or a special toy in it for us. We would always be so happy. Now on Easter we spend time together as a family. Unfortunately, I have to work this year on Easter. It is crazy how fast time flies.

Enjoy time with your family next Sunday!
