Blood Drive!

Blood+Drive%21

Donating blood is very important, and it’s recommended to anyone who is able to donate. To donate blood are you must be feeling well, have good  health, be 16 (in most states), and you must weigh 110 pounds. Donating is such an important thing to do because by just giving your blood you can save up to 3 lives. More than 38,000 blood donations are needed everyday, and that’s an awesome reason to donate your blood. It’s also a fact that more than 1 million people are diagnosed with cancer every year, and they will need blood almost daily during their chemotherapy. So you can tell by the facts that donating blood is such an important thing. It can be scary to people like me who are scared of needles, but the thought of saving up to 3 lives with one donation makes it so worth it.

So if you’re interested in saving a life and donating your blood, on Wednesday March 27th come to Palestine High School because we are having a blood drive. As usual, it will either be located in the PHS gym or the cafeteria. The last blood drive was a hit and many people came in and donated.  Let’s have that same result and do the same thing all over again on the 27th! The time to donate is from 2 pm to 6 pm, so you have 4 whole hours to make your way to PHS to donate!
