Palestine Team Quest: Second Place!

Macy Biggs, contributor

Team Quest is a series of challenges in which teams compete with the given materials and their imaginative skills to best create and finish the tasks given to them.  Challenges in the past have been building a house from just paper, straws, a pencil, and tape. Another task was listening to recordings and then writing down what T.V. show or movie the clip was from.  Each year holds new and different challenges, and is always fun to participate and do your best!

Eight students from PHS will be going to the competition to participate at the high school levels.  One of the teams consists of Faith Baron, Alexis Mills, Makinley Bonesteel, and Gavin Postlewaite; Macy Biggs, Evan Holscher, Jade Monroe, and Seth Bailey make up the other team.  Team Quest was on Friday, November 16 at the Central Christian Church in Lawrenceville, IL. Other teams that compete here are Newton, Robinson, and Lawrenceville. In addition to high schoolers, this year junior high students competed as well in their division.

During the competition, the two Palestine groups worked very well together, and earned their respective teams valuable points.  At the end of the day, the points from all the challenges were tallied up, and the PHS team, including Seth Bailey, Jade Monroe, Evan Holscher, and Macy Biggs, brought home a second place win!  This win allowed the team to qualify and advance to another round of Team Quest, which will take place in 2019.
