OPH vs Dietrich

OPH Boys Basketball took on Dietrich Monday, January 29th in Oblong.

Lucas Blessing, Andrew Amburgy, R.J. Hays, Caden Goodwin, and Owen Hackett started in JV game. The JV boys played very well and had a successful game. The score is not finalized anywhere, but the JV boys won against Dietrich!

Varsity followed right after JV. Riley Blank, Rowen Bailey, Graydon Kincaid, Trevan Webster, and Max Lewis started in the varsity game. The boys played very hard. They played a very hard team and ended up doing very well.

In the first quarter the score was 15-21, in favor to Dietrich. The second quarter was 34-40. The third ended at 52-55. After the third quarter the boys fell short. The final score was 66-77, with Dietrich winning.

Dietrich is 20th in state 1A. This team is very good, and our OPH boys did very well.

Graydon Kincaid said, “We were more focused on tonight’s game because it is a conference game, and if we win, we win conference.” Our OPH Boys are very excited for tonight, and have faith in themselves.

Tonights game is in Oblong at 6pm. This game is against Red Hill and it is senior night! Our seniors are Max Lewis and Will Callaway for basketball. OPH Basketball Cheer seniors are Hannah Potts, Ava Manuel, and Claire Pickering.

Also being recognized are Illinois State Scholars. The Illinois State Scholars are Cydney Pethtel, Ava Manuel, Kendall Roy, and Ethan Dhom.

Go support our OPH students tonight! The game starts at 6pm in Oblong.
