Aubrees Christmas Break!

Aubrees+Christmas+Break%21

My Christmas break isn’t going to be filled with Christmas activities like other people. This year it’s going to be filled with watching my cousin Cruz Dunlap play basketball. He plays for the Robinson Maroons and is a freshman.  He has his first game of the tournament starting on December 26th, and the games go until the 29th. This takes place in Terre Haute, so I will be spending most of the day there. Luckily I do enjoy watching him play, so being there cheering him on won’t be something that I’m dreading. Even with the tough season they have been having, the games are so interesting to watch.

With only four days spent watching basketball games, I still have 11 days left to spend with my friends and family. Spending time with my friends and family is one of my favorite things to do, especially during this time of the year. My family is very close so when we are all together, there is never a dull moment. With that being full of laughs and tormenting, I always enjoy being around my family even when they get annoying. I am also hoping to see my best friend Abby during break; since she moved to Kentucky I hardly get the chance to see her anymore, so hopefully she makes it up here so I can see her just once during a busy time. The rest of my Christmas break is going to be full of sitting at home and watching TV, whether it’s Netflix, Hulu, or even Hallmark Christmas movies with my mom. Even though Hallmark movies aren’t my favorite movies out there, my mom enjoys them so I will take one for the team and watch them with her.

I know my Christmas break isn’t the ideal break that everyone would want, but I’m doing things that I enjoy. I enjoy watching basketball games and going to all of them with my Grandma, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and I most certainly enjoy laying in bed watching TV. Christmas isn’t my favorite holiday out there, so I just treat it like another day. I don’t do anything special for Christmas and I really don’t get into the spirit of it all. So my whole break just consists of everyday things that are what I do during the whole entire year. That is what my break will look like, and I just can’t wait to have a break from school!
