Ray Woodward is a PHS freshman who participates actively in football and track. Ray is filled with excitement and expectation as track season draws near. His goal of competing at the state level motivates him to give it his all on the track.

Apart from his sports activities, Ray loves movies, especially the Spiderman series. He remembers these movies from his childhood with nostalgia, and he can’t decide which one is his favorite.

Ray’s transition from middle school to high school has been a mixture of anxiety and anticipation. He had the usual concerns about starting a new school year in the eighth grade. The idea of starting high school with his friends, who were already in high school, was what really thrilled him. At first, Ray thought that high school would be a lot like middle school. But he soon found out that high school life offered a whole new level of independence. Between the unexpected but important parts of his high school experience was his greater freedom.
