Winners during Red Ribbon Week

Winners during Red Ribbon Week

Mackenzie Myers, Contributor

This previous week the student at PHS participated in Red Ribbon week. After a series of dress up days earlier in the week, on Friday students were invited to drive an alternative vehicle to school.

Through the week the freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors brought in cans for their class to give to the Palestine food pantry. The class that had the most cans at the end of the day on Friday would get out of school at 2:30 on a day of Ms. Waldrop’s choosing. It was neck and neck, with people even bringing in cans during lunch on Friday and all throughout the day. In the end, the winning class was the seniors!

There was also a Pumpkin Decorating Contest held throughout the week in which Summer Agan received first place, Jerika Coffman received second place, and Chase Knoblett and Evan Holscher shared third place. All winners received a big bowl of candy.
