Stephen Chbosky’s teenage years book “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” was released in 1999 and then made into a movie in 2012. Charlie, the main character, writes a number of letters to an anonymous buddy that tell him the story. The book covers a wide range of topics and provides plenty of “perks” or insights into the experiences of a young person attempting adolescence’s obstacles. Among the book’s  advantages or topics are the following: Mental Health: Depression, anxiety, and the effects of traumatic experiences in the past are some of the topics covered in the book. It gives a sense of hope and healing and shows how crucial it is to get help while dealing with these problems. Love: The plot revolves around love in all of its aspects. The relationships that people have, from friendship to romantic love, affect their lives in many ways. Personal Growth: As characters deal with challenges of high school and life, the novel shows their personal development and change. They get valuable life lessons and a better comprehension of both people and themselves. Friendship: The book stresses the importance of strong and healthy friendships.  Acceptance: The book inspires readers to embrace their true selves, even if they fail to live up to society’s standards. Overall the book covers a lot and quite a few  great lessons can be taken away from the pages or it can just be used as entertainment the book is great all around
