Coach Jessi, Zoey and Charlie at the Oblong bonfire!

It is finally homecoming week and we have a busy schedule!

During the school day, we play games each day like dodge ball, pudding eating, blind-folded musical chairs, and of course, Jag Day games. I am sure most now know we have games at the chili supper and bonfire. That is tonight!

Today, we have a parade at 5:30pm from the high school to the grade school. Afterwards there will be a chili supper at the Palestine Grade School. The cheerleaders will also be holding a bake sale for Megan Burton inside the school. This is a free will donation. When it starts to get dark, we will begin our games with our cheerleaders.

Some games will be ships and sailors, the hula hoop game, and 3-legged race. Ships and sailors are across the whole football field and you listen to the speaker to be told what to do! For example, when the speaker says, “Ships,” this means go left. “Sailors” means go right. Others are “Hit the deck”, “Captains coming,” and “Seasick.”

In the hula hoop game, a group of people hold hands and try to get the hula hoop all the way across. It is a very intense but fun game!

The 3 legged race involves groups of two and a potato sack like thing. The two people each put a leg in the bag and run and try and win.

After these fun games, there will be a bonfire. It is really big! Come enjoy some candy, chili, games, and a bonfire. This will be over around 8:30. Come and have some fun!
