Megan Burton, a 2021 graduate of Palestine High School and a resident of Palestine, has been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, aggressive Stage 2 Cancer at only 20 years of age.
Megan has been moved to the Mayo Hospital for Immunotherapy, Chemotherapy, and Radiation in Jacksonville, Florida. As you know, all of the costs associated with living that far from home and receiving these kinds of treatments are extremely expensive, and they add up. So to help her family with these expenses, a high school youth group will be sponsoring a pancake breakfast at the Saint Elizabeth Parish Center this Sunday, September 24th, from 8 to 10:30 a.m. This is a free will donation.
In addition, here at Palestine High School, we will be having a “Megan’s Hat Day” on October 2nd. Students can wear a hat with the donation of at least one dollar, and teachers will wear pink in support of Megan!

It is at the Catholic church in Robinson, just behind Goodwine Funeral Home.
