The first thing that may come to mind when you first think of Mrs. Hyde is her incredible ability to teach high-schoolers English. What you may not realize is that this is Mrs. Hyde’s 12th year of teaching at PHS. This was the first high school Mrs. Hyde has taught in but not the first time she has taught high-schoolers, considering she home schooled her children. After homeschooling, Mrs. Hyde taught at LTC for three years. When asked about her favorite grades to teach she said, “I think I like high school the best, because you are all so close to stepping out in the real world and I feel like I can help you all do that.” Not only has she been successfully preparing us for the real world but she is almost always rocking a pair of Birkenstocks.
