On Saturday, September 29, the Lady Tigers started the LOVC tournament off by playing against Villa Grove.  The game was quick and went smoothly, with the players starting out strongly. In the first set, Paige Matthews earned the team some points, which won them the first set.  As the second set started, the Tigers started to play even better. The second set went quickly as well, and Hutsonville-Palestine won and earned their way to play the first seed, Heritage.

On the same day, the Lady Tigers played the Heritage Hawks.  The players knew that this team was very good, because they were the first seed of the LOVC Southeast division.  The set went well, and the Tigers kept up until the end when the Hawks pulled ahead. Heritage won the first set and began the second set with confidence.  Although Hutsonville-Palestine lost the first set, they played very well the second set, keeping up for most of the game. Despite their efforts, the Lady Tigers lost the match.

The Lady Tigers will played on Tuesday, October 2, at 6 p.m. against Cumberland in the gymnasium of Oblong High School.
