Palestine High School has just acquired a brand new batting cage for anyone to use! This is very good for people who play baseball (like myself) because this is the only indoor batting cage that we have. There are some cages at the fields over by Lincoln Land, but those are outside. So, obviously, if it rains, we can’t use them. I asked our principal, Mr. Will, why he wanted to get a new batting cage, and he said, “I wanted to give some additional support to our baseball players, but not only that, anyone can come and use it to get some swings in. It will also help out with the kids not having to travel to other places to go hit. ” Personally, I think this is great for our community to use. Instead of having to go to Hutsonville or Oblong to hit, we can now use our very own batting cage, which is going to be very handy. The new cage has already been set up by our wonderful maintenance crew, so everyone should give it a shot!
